Garage Door Installer / Technician

About the role

Harbour Door Services, owned by Dakwakada Capital Investments, is seeking a Garage Door Installer / Technician to join its team in the Victoria region. The role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining residential and commercial overhead doors, operators, and gate systems while upholding safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Install, repair, and service sectional and rolling overhead doors, parking gates, and door operators in various settings.
• Perform welding, cutting, and fabrication tasks required for door and frame installations.
• Connect low‑voltage electrical control wiring for operators, sensors, and access systems.
• Conduct preventive maintenance, diagnose faults, and test systems for proper balance and safety.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles, and document work in service reports.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year experience with residential or commercial overhead doors (training provided for related experience).
• Ability to work safely at heights using ladders, scissor lifts, or similar equipment.
• Physically capable of lifting 50 lb+ and handling tools and materials.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence with a clean abstract.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trades training is an asset.
