Full‑time Trauma Physician – Level 3 Trauma Centre

About the role

We are looking for a full‑time Trauma Physician to join the ARHCC Trauma Service within the Fraser Health Trauma Network. The physician will act as Trauma Team Lead/Consultant for activations and consultations, and will be the most responsible physician for admitted trauma patients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead trauma team activations and provide expert consultations.
• Serve as the most responsible physician (MRP) for admitted trauma patients.
• Participate in a 24/7 on‑call schedule (approximately 7 days every 2 months) with onsite daytime coverage and home call within a 30‑minute travel window.
• Collaborate with emergency physicians, surgeons, intensivists, anesthesiologists and allied health professionals.
• Contribute to the multidisciplinary care environment of a 275‑bed Level 3 trauma centre.

Required profile

• Board‑certified or eligible in Emergency Medicine, General Surgery, Critical Care or related specialty.
• Experience in trauma care; fellowship in Trauma or Acute Care Surgery is an asset but not mandatory.
• Willingness to work as part of a team of nine trauma physicians and other specialists.
• Eligibility to practice in Canada; US‑trained physicians are accepted.
