About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Cook to join our team at Fernie Pizza & Pasta. The role involves preparing a variety of dishes in a fast‑paced restaurant environment while maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. You will work closely with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service during all shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Requisition food and kitchen supplies to keep operations stocked.
• Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes according to menu specifications.
• Inspect kitchens and food service areas for cleanliness and compliance.
• Train staff in preparation, cooking, and safe handling of food.
• Order supplies and equipment, managing vendor relationships.
• Supervise kitchen staff and helpers to maintain workflow.
• Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
• Clean kitchen and work areas regularly to uphold hygiene standards.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation certificate.
• 1 to less than 2 years of relevant kitchen experience.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, standing for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and capacity to work under pressure.
