About the role
We are seeking a skilled Framer/Carpenter to join our construction team in Airdrie. The role involves preparing layouts, measuring, cutting, and assembling structural components for residential and industrial projects. You will work on site to ensure builds meet code and quality standards.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare layout plans that comply with building codes using measuring tools.
- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood, wood substitutes, and lightweight steel components.
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
- Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
- Schedule and coordinate site work, supervise crew members, and estimate material costs.
Required profile
- Secondary school graduation certificate.
- 2 to less than 3 years of relevant framing and carpentry experience.
- Ability to work flexible hours in a full‑time permanent position.
Required skills
- Proficiency with measuring tools for accurate layout and cut‑offs.
- Ability to estimate material quantities and costs for projects.
