Financial Due Diligence Analyst (Remote, $35-$70/hr)

About the role

We are seeking a Financial Due Diligence Analyst to work remotely on a contract basis. You will play a critical role in reviewing confidential financial information, assessing M&A and fundraising transactions, and ensuring compliance with data protection standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review Confidential Information Memorandums (CIMs), financial statements, and contracts to identify financial, operational, and compliance risks.
• Assess deal processes, including mergers and acquisitions and fundraising, to ensure transparency and accuracy.
• Perform rigorous analysis of sensitive documents while adhering to Personally Identifiable Information (PII) compliance standards.
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with sensitive data, meeting organizational and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to interpret and communicate complex financial findings.
• Document and summarize analytical findings, providing clear, actionable insights for decision‑making.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with PII compliance and awareness of non‑obvious identifiers in financial documents.
• Proven track record in M&A, corporate finance, or transactional due diligence environments.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for presenting complex information.
• Expertise in identifying and analyzing risk factors within confidential financial documents.
• Strong understanding of compliance standards for sensitive document handling.
