Financial Analyst, Retail

About the role

Provide executional support in financial planning, controlling and analysis for the Canada retail brick‑and‑mortar channel. The analyst prepares management reports, highlights discrepancies, trends and insights, and ensures data accuracy.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and control retail operating expenses (OPEX) against budgets.
• Perform variance analysis, investigate discrepancies and explain variances.
• Prepare and maintain financial reports for management and business partners.
• Conduct ad‑hoc financial analyses to support operational decisions.
• Partner with management, store operations, real‑estate and supply‑chain teams to discuss trends and improve forecast accuracy.
• Enter OPEX data for monthly forecasts and budgets with high accuracy.
• Support accounting processes including accruals, reconciliations and expense entries.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• 2‑3 years of finance or accounting experience, preferably in retail.
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience with SAP, TM1 or similar planning systems (a plus).
