Finance Officer

About the role

We are seeking a diligent Finance Officer to join our team in Edmonton. You will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting payroll, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations for our engineering and inspection projects.

Key responsibilities

• Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll.
• Determine fixed assets and compute depreciation.
• Maintain and balance various accounts using both manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
• Prepare and update general ledgers, financial statements, and trial balances.
• Post journal entries and reconcile accounts regularly.
• Generate statistical, financial, and accounting reports as required.
• Prepare tax returns and other statutory filings.

Required profile

• College/CEGEP education in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Prior experience in bookkeeping or accounting is considered an asset.
• Ability to work day, morning, or evening shifts as needed.
