Finance Controller

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Finance Controller to join a well‑established transportation and logistics organization. This permanent, full‑time position works closely with daily operations, providing accurate financial insight that drives service quality and growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day finance and accounting functions including AP, AR, billing, payroll, and general ledger.
• Oversee month‑end and year‑end close, journal entries, and financial reporting.
• Prepare monthly financial indicators, statements, cash‑flow analyses, and budget variance reports.
• Monitor cash flow, identify potential deficiencies, and ensure timely visibility of financial risk.
• Assess and improve financial processes, internal controls, and cost‑control initiatives.
• Mentor and develop the accounting team, support hiring, training, and performance management.
• Present financial results to leadership, auditors, and operational teams.

Required profile

• Proven finance leadership experience in transportation, trucking, logistics, or a similarly fast‑moving operational environment.
• Strong analytical judgment, urgency, and communication skills.
• Ability to translate financial data into practical insights for multiple departments.
