Field Safety Advisor

About the role

Victor Energy is seeking a Field Safety Advisor to lead occupational health and safety activities on its energy infrastructure projects in Saskatchewan. Reporting to the HSE Manager, you will apply OHS leadership and best‑practice methodologies to protect workers, subcontractors and the public on site.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain project‑specific safety plans, training programs and Emergency Response Plans.
• Conduct orientations, inspections, audits and incident reporting; ensure corrective actions are completed.
• Monitor employee and subcontractor credentials, qualifications and required safety tickets (fall protection, equipotential bonding, First Aid, WHMIS/GHS, etc.).
• Identify hazards through site walk‑throughs, perform risk assessments and support the creation of Safe Job Plans.
• Compile safety statistics, prepare reports and present findings at client and internal meetings.
• Collaborate with the WCB Claims Coordinator on injury management and claims.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of field OHS leadership experience in the energy or utility construction sector.
• Active National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) certification; additional credentials such as CRSP, CUSP or CHSE are an asset.
• Strong organizational and time‑management abilities; capable of working independently or within a team.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
