Family Practitioner / General Practitioner – Job Share

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Family Practitioner or General Practitioner to join a unique job‑share arrangement. The position is split 0.5 FTE in an outpatient clinic where you will co‑manage a shared patient panel, and 0.5 FTE in a hospital or elective setting such as teaching, research, or procedural work. This structure provides a balanced mix of clinical and hospital‑based duties while maintaining flexibility.

Key responsibilities

• Co‑manage a shared panel of patients with a fellow physician in a team‑based outpatient environment.
• Provide continuity of care and patient‑centered services.
• Deliver inpatient care, emergency coverage, or other hospital‑based duties as agreed.
• Participate in optional teaching, research, or procedural activities.

Required profile

• Board‑certified Family Practitioner or General Practitioner.
• Valid medical licence to practice in Canada.
• Interest in collaborative, part‑time practice.
• Ability to balance outpatient and inpatient responsibilities.

Required skills

• Clinical assessment and patient management.
• Proficiency with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
• Inpatient care and emergency coverage skills.
