About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Family Practitioner/General Practitioner to join a vibrant community‑based family practice in Vernon, British Columbia. The position offers a unique blend of clinical autonomy and a lifestyle‑rich environment surrounded by outdoor recreation and a thriving town of 65,000 residents.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary‑care services to patients of all ages, including acute illness, chronic disease management, and preventive health.
• Conduct routine examinations, diagnose conditions, and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Coordinate referrals to specialists and collaborate with the local 182‑bed hospital for advanced care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure continuity of care through follow‑up appointments.
• Participate in community health initiatives and promote wellness within the practice.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MD or DO) with current licensure to practice in British Columbia.
• Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine.
• Demonstrated commitment to delivering high‑quality primary care in a community setting.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build long‑term patient relationships.
