Family Physician – Private Practice

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Family Physician to join our private practice clinic. The role involves delivering comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages, fostering long‑term health relationships, and supporting community wellness.

Key responsibilities

• Collect medical information from patients, family members, or other healthcare professionals.
• Examine patients to identify diseases, injuries, and overall health conditions.
• Help patients develop healthy habits and provide guidance on lifestyle changes.
• Order laboratory tests, X‑rays, and other diagnostic procedures to determine appropriate treatment.
• Consult with other medical practitioners to evaluate physical and mental health.
• Prescribe and administer medications and treatments.
• Inoculate and vaccinate patients to prevent and treat diseases.
• Advise patients on healthcare matters and report births, deaths, and contagious diseases to authorities.
• Coordinate and manage primary patient care, including acute and emergency care.
• Provide counseling and support to patients and families on a wide range of health and lifestyle issues.

Required profile

• Degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or optometry.
• Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities.
• College of Family Physicians Certification (CCFP).
