Family Physician

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Family Physician to join our private practice clinic. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages, delivering both preventive and curative services in a community‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Collect medical histories from patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
• Examine patients to diagnose diseases, injuries, and health conditions.
• Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging, and other diagnostic procedures.
• Prescribe medications, treatments, and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer vaccinations and inoculations to prevent disease.
• Provide acute and emergency care, including counseling and support for patients and families.
• Coordinate with other medical practitioners to assess physical and mental health.
• Report births, deaths, and communicable diseases to public health authorities.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MD, DO, or equivalent) and licensure by provincial or territorial authorities.
• Certification by the College of Family Physicians (CCFP) preferred.
• Experience in primary care or family medicine is an asset.
