Faculty Position – Management (ECON 3601)

About the role

The university is seeking a qualified faculty member to teach ECON 3601, a course that introduces data presentation, analysis methods, and their business applications. The role involves delivering lectures, guiding student learning, and contributing to the academic community.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver lectures for ECON 3601, covering data description, probability, distributions, and statistical decision theory.
• Design and grade assignments, exams, and projects that reinforce sampling theory and hypothesis testing techniques.
• Provide academic support and mentorship to students throughout the semester.
• Participate in curriculum development and departmental meetings as required.

Required profile

• Master's degree in a field relevant to management, business, or a closely related discipline.
• Completion of at least 30 credits and prerequisite mathematics courses (MATH 1843 or 1823 and MATH 1833 or equivalents).
• Professional experience in business, board service, or active participation in professional associations within the last five years.
• Prior university teaching experience is considered an asset.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of probability concepts, statistical distributions, and decision theory.
