Faculty Position – Management Course Instructor

About the role

The university is seeking a qualified faculty member to teach ECON 3601, a course that introduces data presentation, analysis methods, and their business applications. The instructor will deliver lectures, lead discussions, and assess student performance in topics such as probability, statistical decision theory, sampling, and hypothesis testing.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver course lectures and tutorials for up to 50 students.
• Design and grade assignments, exams, and projects aligned with the curriculum.
• Maintain up‑to‑date course materials reflecting current statistical methods and business practices.
• Provide academic advising and support to students enrolled in the course.
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., statistics, economics, business analytics) or equivalent professional designation.
• Demonstrated experience in business or academic settings, including board service, professional association involvement, or industry practice within the last five years.
• Prior university teaching experience is an asset.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of statistical concepts, probability distributions, and hypothesis testing.
• Ability to present quantitative material clearly to undergraduate students.
• Experience with data analysis and interpretation in a business context.
