Facilities Technician – Maintenance & Operations

About the role

Playground is expanding its gaming floor, hotel, and dining venues near Montreal. As a Facilities Technician you will keep the building systems, equipment, and gaming areas safe, functional, and attractive. You will work on a rotating shift schedule, including weekends, to ensure continuous operations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections of premises, equipment and building systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC, generators, ventilation and other mechanical systems.
• Execute everyday repairs, including plumbing, electrical, painting, plastering and minor renovations.
• Oversee external contractors when specialized repairs or servicing are required.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and implement corrective actions.
• Repair or replace defective parts on machines, equipment and structures.
• Move gaming machines and tables safely as needed.

Required profile

• Bilingual French/English is an asset; must be 18 + and hold a valid work permit or Canadian residency.
• Proven experience in a similar maintenance role covering plumbing, electrical, painting, plastering and minor renovations.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects repeatedly.
• Technical college degree or equivalent training is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills, detail‑orientation and professional presentation.
• Capacity to work autonomously in a fast‑paced environment.
