Facilities Attendant (Temporary Part‑Time)

About the role

The City of Belleville is seeking sixteen part‑time Facilities Attendants to support the operation and cleanliness of the Quinte Sports & Wellness Centre. This temporary position involves a variety of custodial, ice‑maintenance and general support tasks to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for staff and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of bathrooms, arenas, gym spaces and common areas through sweeping, mopping, dusting and garbage removal.
• Assist with ice‑surface preparation, snow removal and net handling, ensuring safe conditions for users.
• Set up meeting rooms and event spaces with chairs, tables and audio‑visual equipment.
• Provide courteous service to tenants, contractors and the public while promoting a positive city image.
• Report issues promptly to Supervisors and follow safety procedures.

Required profile

• High school diploma (or in progress) and ability to work a flexible schedule.
• Own safety boots and clear criminal record check with vulnerable sector screening.
• Entry‑level candidates with a strong work ethic and ability to manage multiple tasks.
