Experienced Second Cook (Permanent)

About the role

Join the culinary team at Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, one of Canada’s most iconic hospitality destinations. As an Experienced Second Cook you will support the First Cook and chefs in delivering high‑quality dishes using fresh, local ingredients while working in a dynamic, fast‑paced kitchen.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the First Cook and chefs with food preparation and cooking according to recipes and Fairmont standards.
• Present dishes attractively and ensure compliance with established plating guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment, following health and safety regulations.
• Execute station opening and closing procedures to the required standards.
• Handle, store, and rotate ingredients and supplies properly to minimize waste and prevent contamination.

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 years cooking experience.
• Experience in a luxury hotel environment is an asset.
• Culinary certificate or diploma from a recognized school is a plus.
• Physically fit to lift trays repeatedly, stand and walk for the duration of the shift.
• Legally authorized to work in Canada.
