Executive Director – Non‑profit Organization

About the role

The Native Women’s Association of the Northwest Territories is seeking a dynamic Executive Director to lead the organization. Reporting directly to the President and Board of Directors, you will oversee all aspects of operations, finance, and program delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Provide overall strategic and operational leadership for the association.
• Manage financial planning, budgeting, and reporting.
• Oversee human‑resource functions and supervise staff.
• Coordinate projects, administer programs, and ensure compliance with Board directives.
• Develop and write grant proposals and other funding applications.
• Represent the organization to external partners and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Degree in Business Management, Public Administration or related field.
• Three to five years of administrative experience in a non‑profit setting.
• Proven experience in financial management, project coordination and staff supervision.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, adapt to new administrations, and travel as needed.
• Valid driver’s licence; second language proficiency is an asset.
