About the role
Join MIRCHI TANDOOR as an Ethnic Food Cook, preparing authentic South and East Indian dishes for a busy restaurant in Moncton. You will work closely with the kitchen team to deliver high‑quality meals while supporting a welcoming environment for newcomers and youth.
Key responsibilities
- Determine portion sizes, calculate food costs and plan menus.
- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes, focusing on South and East Indian cuisine.
- Inspect kitchen and service areas, maintain inventory, and keep accurate records of supplies and equipment.
- Train and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring proper food handling and safety standards.
- Organise buffets, banquets and special events as required.
Required profile
- Reliability and strong teamwork attitude.
- At least 1 – 2 years of experience in a restaurant kitchen.
