Equity Trader

About the role

Join SPROTT as an Equity Trader, operating from our Toronto office in a hybrid setting. You will execute buy and sell orders on behalf of investment dealers and clients while ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Buy and sell securities on the stock exchange for investment dealers and clients.
• Ensure all transactions adhere to regulatory standards.
• Develop and refine trading strategies by analyzing market data and collaborating with fellow traders.
• Research financial literature to identify investment opportunities.
• Create risk‑management plans and conduct ongoing market research.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 2–3 years of experience in equity trading or related finance roles.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment.
• Strong attention to detail and independent work capability.
