Equipment Maintenance Superintendent

About the role

Hall Shoring & Foundations is seeking an experienced Equipment Maintenance Superintendent to lead maintenance, field service, planning, and equipment logistics across Western Canada. This full‑time, onsite position reports directly to Operations and the Equipment Division, ensuring maximum equipment uptime, safety, and cost efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Western Canada maintenance program, supervise technicians, and conduct weekly planning meetings.
• Develop and monitor preventive maintenance schedules, breakdown repairs, and compliance metrics.
• Analyze oil sample results and equipment history to perform root‑cause analysis on repeat failures.
• Coordinate winter overhaul programs, monthly rig inspections, NDT inspections, and certification compliance.
• Manage drill rig mobilizations/demobilizations, including trucking, specialized transport, and third‑party vendor coordination.
• Oversee parts ordering, expediting, inventory, and equipment yard operations.
• Maintain OEM and warranty relationships, review repair quotations, and monitor maintenance cost per operating hour.
• Support apprentice development, technician training, and site orientations while promoting safe maintenance practices.

Required profile

• Eligible to work in Canada.
• Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician certification or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of heavy‑equipment maintenance experience.
• 5+ years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Experience with foundation drilling equipment and large‑scale rig operations.
