About the role

Pembina Trails School Division is seeking a qualified teacher to deliver Grade 5 and Art instruction at Charleswood School for a fixed‑term appointment from 1 June 2026 to 30 June 2026. This full‑time position (1.0 FTE) supports the division’s commitment to inclusive education and equity.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, and assess curriculum for Grade 5 core subjects and Art.
• Create a safe, engaging, and culturally responsive classroom environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and support staff to meet student learning goals.
• Maintain accurate records, report progress, and adhere to school policies.
• Participate in professional development, including Commit 2 Kids or Respect in Schools training.

Required profile

• Valid Manitoba Permanent Teaching Certificate.
• Certification or completion of Commit 2 Kids or Respect in Schools training.
• Demonstrated ability to teach Grade 5 and Art curriculum.
• Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
