Engineering Manager, AI Engineering

About the role

Procurify is seeking an Engineering Manager for its AI Engineering team. This player‑coach role leads a group of AI Engineers while staying hands‑on with technical strategy, architecture, prototyping and critical implementation decisions. You will collaborate with Product, Design, Platform Engineering, Security and other engineering leaders to define and execute the company’s AI strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of AI Engineers, fostering a high‑performance culture built on trust, ownership and experimentation.
• Participate actively in architecture reviews, technical design, prototyping and proof‑of‑concept work as a player‑coach.
• Define and deliver high‑impact AI‑powered products and platform capabilities, tracking success metrics and communicating progress to stakeholders.
• Shape the AI technical vision and architecture, establishing standards for LLM‑powered applications, Retrieval‑Augmented Generation systems, agentic workflows and responsible AI governance.
• Guide the design, deployment and operation of production‑grade AI services, including model integrations, orchestration platforms and monitoring frameworks.

Required profile

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with at least 3 years leading engineering teams.
• 3‑5+ years building and deploying AI‑powered products or platforms in production.
• Strong hands‑on expertise in LLM‑based applications, RAG systems, agentic AI workflows and AI observability.
• Proven ability to architect and scale distributed AI platforms while balancing speed, reliability and cost.
• Excellent communication skills and a people‑first leadership style.
