Engineer-in-Training – New Graduate Program (Oil Sands)

About the role

Join Cenovus’s New Grad Program as an Engineer-in-Training and launch your career in the energy sector. You will rotate through three 12‑month assignments across oil‑sands and Calgary operations, gaining hands‑on experience in a variety of engineering disciplines.

Key responsibilities

• Support engineering tasks within the assigned rotation (e.g., development, field, drilling, integrity, maintenance, process, production, project, or reservoir engineering).
• Participate in project work, data analysis, and design activities under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to safety and technical reviews.

Required profile

• Legally authorized to work in Canada.
• Available to start in June 2027.
• Undergraduate or graduate degree in Mechanical, Chemical/Process, or Petroleum Engineering obtained by 31 May 2027 (within the last two years).
• Eligible to register for an Engineer‑in‑Training designation.
• Less than two years of professional experience in the relevant engineering discipline (excluding student experience).
