Engineer-in-Training New Graduate Program – June 2027

About the role

Cenovus is seeking recent engineering graduates to join its Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) New Grad Program starting June 2027. The three‑year rotational program provides hands‑on experience across multiple business areas in the energy sector, with all rotations based in Lloydminster, AB/SK.

Key responsibilities

• Complete three consecutive 12‑month rotations in areas such as Operations, Process Engineering, Facilities, Project Engineering, Maintenance & Reliability, Integrity Engineering, Drilling & Completions, Technical Safety, and Design/Document Control.
• Participate in on‑site projects, field exposure, and mentorship activities to develop a broad understanding of Cenovus’s core business.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support engineering tasks and deliver project outcomes.
• Prepare for permanent placement within the company upon successful program completion, based on business needs.

Required profile

• Legally authorized to work in Canada.
• Available to start in June 2027.
• Undergraduate or graduate degree in Mechanical, Materials, Chemical/Process, or Petroleum Engineering obtained by May 31 2027 (within the last two years).
• Eligible to register for Engineer‑in‑Training designation.
• Less than two years of professional experience in the relevant discipline, excluding student projects.
