Endpoint Support Technician – Laptop Refresh Specialist

About the role

The Refresh Specialist is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of laptop assets within the organization. This role ensures that out‑of‑warranty devices are collected promptly and replacement laptops are deployed efficiently, minimizing disruption for internal team members.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate retrieval of out‑of‑warranty laptops from staff and process them according to asset management policies.
• Prepare, configure, and deploy replacement laptops that meet organizational standards.
• Track warranty status, identify devices due for replacement, and maintain an accurate hardware inventory.
• Act as the primary point of contact for users throughout the refresh process, providing timelines and instructions.
• Perform data migration, backup, and secure wiping of retired devices in line with security protocols.
• Maintain detailed records of refresh activities, including deployment schedules and asset logs.
• Collaborate with IT support, procurement, and facilities teams to coordinate logistics and resolve issues.
