Emergency Physician – Full/Part Time

About the role

Fraser Health and the Burnaby Hospital Emergency Physicians Group are seeking full‑time and part‑time Emergency Physicians to join a high‑volume, well‑supported department serving a multicultural community near downtown Vancouver.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 emergency medical care to approximately 85,000 annual visits.
• Participate in dedicated code‑blue coverage and triage physician duties.
• Utilise the expanded rapid‑assessment zone and new acute‑care and psychiatry areas (phase 1 completion 2025).
• Engage in outpatient follow‑up clinics for reassessment and investigations.

Required profile

• Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCPC) certified in Emergency Medicine, or CCFP‑EM emergency trained and certified, or ABEM certified.
• Eligibility for full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC); US‑certified class of registration acceptable.
