Emergency Physician – Full & Part Time

About the role

Fraser Health and the Burnaby Hospital Emergency Physicians Group are seeking board‑certified Emergency Physicians for full‑time and part‑time positions in a high‑volume, multicultural department near downtown Vancouver. The role offers a well‑remunerated practice, supportive colleagues, and affiliation with the UBC medical school for teaching rotations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency care to a diverse patient population, handling approximately 85,000 annual visits.
• Participate in rapid‑assessment zones, code‑blue responses, and triage physician duties.
• Collaborate with consultants and maintain outpatient follow‑up clinics for reassessment and investigations.
• Contribute to teaching activities for UBC medical students and residents.
• Support departmental growth during the multi‑year Burnaby Hospital redevelopment.

Required profile

• Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCPC) in Emergency Medicine, or CCFP‑EM or ABEM certification.
• Eligibility for full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC).
• Commitment to work full‑time or part‑time in an onsite hospital setting.
• Ability to thrive in a multicultural community and a collaborative team environment.
