Emergency Physician – Full and Part Time Positions

About the role

Fraser Health and the Burnaby Hospital Emergency Physicians Group are seeking qualified Emergency Physicians for both full‑time and part‑time appointments. You will join a high‑volume, well‑supported department serving a multicultural community near downtown Vancouver.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency care to a diverse patient population.
• Perform triage, rapid assessment, and acute care in a busy 24/7 emergency department.
• Participate in dedicated code‑blue coverage and supervise the rapid assessment zone.
• Collaborate with consultants and maintain outpatient follow‑up clinics for reassessment and investigations.
• Contribute to the department’s growth during the multi‑year hospital redevelopment project.

Required profile

• Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCPC) certified in Emergency Medicine, or CCFP‑EM Emergency trained and certified, or ABEM certified.
• Eligibility for full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia.
• Acceptance of CPSBC US certified class of registration.

Required skills

• Board certification in Emergency Medicine.
• Eligibility for provincial medical licensure.
