About the role

Join a collegial emergency medicine team at Cariboo Memorial Hospital in Williams Lake, BC. The 24/7 emergency department sees about 22,000 visits annually and offers a diverse case mix with ample procedural opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide acute emergency care to patients of all ages in a busy Level 2 community hospital.
• Collaborate with specialists in internal medicine, obstetrics & gynecology, surgery, pediatrics, and psychiatry.
• Teach and mentor medical students and residents through the UBC Faculty of Medicine’s rural teaching program.
• Participate in leadership development programs such as Interior Health’s NAVIG8 Emerging Physician Leaders Program.
• Contribute to the ongoing redevelopment of the emergency department and future hospital expansion.

Required profile

• Eligibility for licensure in British Columbia.
• Current CCFP, CCFP (EM) or FRCPC in Emergency Medicine.
• Ability to work in a team‑oriented environment and provide high‑quality patient care.
• Interest in teaching, mentorship, and rural health practice.

Required skills

• Clinical competence in emergency medicine.
