About the role

Join the collegial emergency medicine team at Cariboo Memorial Hospital in Williams Lake, BC. You will work in a 24/7 emergency department that sees roughly 22,000 visits annually, offering a diverse case mix and ample procedural experience.

Key responsibilities

• Provide acute care to patients across all ages in a busy Level 2 community hospital ED.
• Collaborate with specialists in internal medicine, obstetrics & gynecology, general surgery, pediatrics, and psychiatry.
• Teach and mentor medical students and residents through the UBC Faculty of Medicine’s rural teaching program.
• Participate in leadership development opportunities such as Interior Health’s NAVIG8 Emerging Physician Leaders Program.
• Contribute to the ongoing redevelopment of the hospital, including the new expanded emergency department.

Required profile

• Current licensure with a CCFP, CCFP (EM) or FRCPC in Emergency Medicine.
• Eligibility to practice medicine in British Columbia.
• Interest in teaching, mentorship, and community‑based practice.
• Willingness to engage in leadership development programs.
