Emergency Medicine Physician – Full/Part Time

About the role

Mission Memorial Hospital is seeking a full‑time and/or part‑time Emergency Medicine physician to join its community‑run team. The position serves a busy 24/7 emergency department that handles roughly 30,000 visits each year.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency care to patients of all ages.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, and allied health staff.
• Utilize on‑site imaging modalities, including X‑ray, ultrasound, and CT scanner, to diagnose and manage acute conditions.
• Participate in the Patient Assessment and Transition Home (PATH) unit and hospice care as needed.
• Maintain accurate medical records and adhere to provincial regulatory standards.

Required profile

• CCFP certification with or without additional Emergency Medicine training.
• Current CPSBC US‑class registration (or equivalent) accepted.
• Demonstrated experience working in an emergency department.

Required skills

• Proficiency with on‑site X‑ray equipment.
• Ultrasound imaging skills.
• CT scanner operation and interpretation.
