Emergency Medicine Physician – Full-time (Kelowna)

About the role

We are seeking board‑certified Emergency Medicine physicians to join the dynamic team at Kelowna General Hospital. The position is full‑time, permanent, and based in the vibrant city of Kelowna, British Columbia, offering a balanced four‑season lifestyle.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality emergency care to a diverse patient population in a tertiary referral centre.
• Manage trauma, cardiac critical care, stroke, and complex medical presentations.
• Participate in teaching activities for residents and medical students, including bedside teaching, simulation and Grand Rounds.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care.

Required profile

• Board certification in Emergency Medicine (FRCPC or equivalent).
• Experience in a high‑volume emergency department preferred.
• Commitment to mentorship, teamwork and continuous learning.

Required skills

• Proficiency in advanced cardiac procedures such as ECMO and coronary revascularisation.
• Skilled in trauma resuscitation and endovascular thrombectomy.
• Competence in point‑of‑care ultrasound.
