Electrician Journeyman - Onsite Shift Work

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Journeyman Electrician to work on a remote, safety‑sensitive site on a shift schedule. The successful candidate will perform both rough‑in and finish electrical work on new and renovated facilities, ensuring all installations meet safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Load, unload, and transport materials to work areas.
• Perform rough‑in and finish electrical installations using lumex wire, BX, Tech Cable, and Cab tire.
• Splice, join, and connect wiring; troubleshoot and isolate faults.
• Install, replace, and repair electrical controls, panel boxes, HVAC units, and furnaces.
• Test voltage, loads, and ground‑fault integrity of circuits.
• Maintain cleanliness of tools, equipment, and work sites; keep camp equipment in optimal condition.
• Coordinate with the Area Superintendent and Maintenance Planner on maintenance issues and paperwork.
• Ensure compliance with all HNCC safety policies and wear required PPE.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s licence.
• High‑school education plus a Journeyman Certificate in Electrical.
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on electrical experience.
• Knowledge of industry codes, standards, and regulations.
• Strong organizational, time‑management, and decision‑making abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
