About the role
The Education Programs Manager leads and oversees the Department of Family Practice’s education portfolio, which includes Family Medicine, Postgraduate, Enhanced Skills, and Midwifery programs. Reporting to senior leadership, the manager ensures that all programs are strategically aligned with departmental priorities, accreditation standards, and university policies.
Key responsibilities
- Direct program planning, delivery, and continuous evaluation for multiple education streams.
- Lead change initiatives and advise on educational policies and curriculum development.
- Manage program budgets, allocate resources, and monitor financial performance.
- Ensure compliance with accreditation requirements and prepare required reports.
- Develop and implement communication strategies for internal and external stakeholders.
- Represent the department on university committees and collaborate with clinical, academic, and research partners.
Required profile
- Proven experience in managing complex educational programs, preferably in health or medical education.
- Strong knowledge of accreditation standards and reporting processes.
- Demonstrated ability to lead change, influence policy, and work collaboratively across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Excellent strategic planning, budgeting, and resource management skills.
