Editor - Medical Communications

About the role

Prime is seeking a meticulous Editor to support its medical communications team. You will ensure that a variety of scientific content – from manuscripts to digital assets – meets the highest standards of clarity, accuracy, and style.

Key responsibilities

• Review and edit manuscripts, abstracts, posters, slides, PDFs, and other digital materials for grammar, spelling, consistency, and clarity.
• Ensure all outputs align with house, client, and journal style guides.
• Apply digital markup tools, track changes, and provide actionable editorial feedback.
• Proofread typeset copy, checking layout elements such as figures, tables, colors, size, quality, and resolution.
• Verify redrawn figures, PowerPoint presentations, and PDFs against original submissions.
• Coordinate copyright and author permissions, inserting appropriate wording for reproduced material.
• Maintain and update client style guides.
• Perform dummy submissions and monitor journal or congress guidelines.
• Collaborate proactively with internal teams to uphold best practices.

Required profile

• Impeccable English spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
• Exceptional attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word (track changes) and comment features.
• Experience editing PDFs and PowerPoint files.
• Familiarity with layout considerations for scientific figures and tables.
• Knowledge of copyright and permission processes for reproduced content.
