Driver Trainer & Field Operations Specialist

About the role

Amrize is looking for a Driver Trainer and Field Operations specialist to lead and enhance its ECAN driver training program. You will ensure compliance with provincial legislation and company standards while fostering a strong safety culture among commercial drivers operating ready‑mix concrete trucks.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver theoretical and practical training to commercial drivers, ensuring safe operation of heavy‑duty and concrete‑mixing trucks.
• Evaluate driver performance, provide written feedback, and monitor corrective actions.
• Act as a field reference for health and safety, truck maintenance, and operational procedures.
• Support operations management with planning, tracking, documentation, and compliance reporting for the training program.
• Produce evaluation reports, performance metrics, and re‑certification documentation.
• Post job openings, screen applications, conduct interviews, and oversee hiring and onboarding of new drivers.
• Enforce minimum safety rules, monitor PPE usage, and ensure adherence to Amrize’s safety policies on‑site.

Required profile

• Class 1 or Class 3 driver’s licence.
• 3–5 years of experience driving heavy commercial vehicles, including concrete mixers.
• Fluency in French (mandatory); English is an asset.
• Knowledge of Quebec driving laws, construction and concreting practices, and safety regulations.
• Ability to work autonomously, make decisions, and communicate diplomatically.

Required skills

• Proficiency with digital tools such as Google Workspace, email, spreadsheets, and tablet devices.
