Director, Strategy and Operations

About the role

This senior leadership position sits at the intersection of strategy, execution, and organizational scaling. Based in Canada, you will partner closely with executive leadership to drive the company’s most critical initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions, strategic planning, and operational transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end M&A activities, from diligence coordination to post‑close integration.
• Serve as the primary liaison between deal teams and internal functions such as Finance, Legal, People, and Product.
• Run annual and quarterly strategic planning cycles, translating decisions into actionable operating plans.
• Track execution of strategic initiatives, ensuring accountability, visibility, and timely escalation of risks.
• Develop and maintain the company’s value‑creation roadmap across functions.
• Evaluate and prioritize initiatives through business case development and financial analysis.
• Facilitate cross‑functional execution of top priorities with clear ownership and milestones.
• Lead leadership operating cadences and strengthen reporting discipline, KPI tracking, and operational processes.

Required profile

• Highly analytical and execution‑oriented professional with experience in strategy, corporate development, and hands‑on business execution in high‑growth environments.
• Background in consulting, investment banking, corporate development, or strategic operations combined with operational execution experience.
• Strong program‑management skills, able to structure ambiguity and manage multiple workstreams.
• Solid commercial and financial acumen, including SaaS metrics, unit economics, and business‑case development.
• Proven experience in M&A diligence, integration planning, or post‑merger execution.
• Ability to create executive‑level materials and communicate complex ideas clearly.
