About the role
The University of Kentucky’s College of Communication and Information seeks a senior academic leader to serve as Director of the School of Information Science. Reporting directly to the Dean, the Director will provide strategic vision and oversight for the school’s teaching, research, and service missions.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the School of Information Science, shaping its academic and research agenda.
- Report to the Dean of the College of Communication and Information and collaborate on college-wide initiatives.
- Oversee curriculum development, faculty recruitment, and professional development.
- Manage the school’s budget and resources to support its strategic goals.
Required profile
- Eligible for appointment at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor with tenure.
- Demonstrated experience in information science or a closely related discipline.
- Proven record of academic leadership and scholarly achievement.
