Director of Operations & Service

About the role

As Director of Operations & Service for Bosch Building Technologies North America, you will lead the Operations & Service Departments of the Vancouver branch, ensuring high‑quality installations, client satisfaction, and fiscal responsibility. Reporting to the Regional Vice President, you will have full financial accountability for the branch’s results.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise, develop, coach, evaluate and discipline Operations & Service personnel in line with company policies.
• Set short‑ and long‑term departmental goals aligned with corporate objectives.
• Drive revenue growth, margin improvement, service agreement execution and operational efficiency.
• Monitor installations for on‑time, on‑budget performance and adjust staffing levels as needed.
• Ensure branch fiscal responsibility through revenue generation, cost containment, variance analysis and corrective actions.
• Forecast labor capacity, service demand and domain growth using data‑driven insights.
• Support a diverse team of managers, sales staff, technicians and support personnel.
• Champion a service‑first mindset and promote operational excellence.
• Evaluate, implement and optimise tools, processes, playbooks and standards.
• Maintain accurate project information in shared systems.
• Collaborate with sales leadership on multi‑discipline sales and execution strategies.
• Lead warehouse operations to meet safety, quality, delivery and budget targets.
• Maintain client communications, monitor satisfaction and resolve complaints.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in operations and service management, preferably within building technologies or related sectors.
• Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasts and cost controls.
• Ability to develop and execute strategic plans that align with corporate goals.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience leading cross‑functional teams, including technicians, sales and warehouse staff.
