Director, Experience Management & Governance

About the role

The Director, Experience Management & Governance will lead enterprise‑wide governance, risk and compliance programs for a Canadian organization. Reporting to senior leadership, this role ensures that operational and regulatory frameworks are designed, implemented and continuously improved across multiple business units.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and manage first‑line governance, risk and compliance programs across complex business environments.
• Act as subject‑matter expert on regulatory requirements, internal controls and enterprise risk management frameworks.
• Oversee large‑scale strategic programs, aligning them with business objectives, risk appetite and governance standards.
• Partner with senior leaders to translate regulatory changes into actionable business requirements and control improvements.
• Monitor program effectiveness, identify gaps and recommend enhancements to strengthen control environments.
• Represent the organization in governance forums, risk committees and regulatory discussions.
• Lead change‑management initiatives, including stakeholder engagement, execution and sustainment strategies.
• Develop and maintain policies, procedures and training programs to foster a risk‑aware culture.

Required profile

• Seasoned leader with extensive experience in governance, risk management and large‑scale program execution.
• Proven ability to work in complex, ambiguous environments and influence senior executives.
• Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting complex data and regulatory requirements.
