Direct Buyer

About the role

BRP is seeking a Direct Buyer who will report to the Global Sourcing Manager and play a key part in developing new products. You will influence the growth of the organization by expanding the product range through strategic sourcing and supplier partnerships.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies for key material and service categories.
• Lead supplier selection, negotiation, and contracting processes.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and strategic suppliers on new component development.
• Negotiate and ensure compliance with supplier agreements covering lead times, cost structures, raw‑material fluctuations, and exchange rates.
• Manage the budget of the parts portfolio and keep cost prices regularly updated.
• Monitor market cost trends and drive cost‑reduction initiatives.

Required profile

• Relevant experience or education in procurement, business administration, engineering, or related fields.
• Bilingual in French and English (spoken and written); Spanish is an asset.
• Strong organizational abilities and capacity to manage priorities.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Team‑oriented mindset.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Windows operating environment.
• Experience using SAP for procurement processes.
