DevOps Engineer

About the role

Pillway is seeking a security‑focused DevOps Engineer to own the DevOps and security engineering of its Azure‑based healthcare platform. You will embed protection into every line of code and infrastructure component while ensuring compliance with PHIPA, PIPEDA and SOC 2.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end Azure infrastructure, including networking, VMs, databases, backups and disaster recovery.
• Build and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform and Azure Kubernetes Service.
• Design, implement and secure CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps, integrating SAST, DAST, dependency scanning and secrets detection.
• Manage containerisation and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Operate monitoring, incident response and SIEM/IDS/IPS alerts; lead investigations and post‑incident reviews.
• Run vulnerability management program, coordinate annual penetration tests and ensure remediation.
• Administer IAM, Azure RBAC, least‑privilege policies, and manage keys, secrets and certificates.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience securing Azure cloud environments and implementing compliance controls.
• Proven ability to design and automate secure CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience leading incident response, vulnerability management and penetration testing efforts.
• Strong collaboration skills with engineering, QA and operations teams.
