Detailer – Engineering Drafting & Design

About the role

AGF Rebar Inc. is seeking a skilled Detailer to join its Ottawa team. You will be responsible for producing accurate shop drawings and detailed engineering designs for construction projects, working closely with engineers and clients to ensure specifications are met.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare engineering designs and detailed shop drawings based on blueprints.
• Read and interpret technical drawings to determine work requirements.
• Develop and refine design sketches, checking for conformity and errors.
• Consult with clients, engineers, and production specialists to clarify product requirements.
• Maintain high quality standards under tight deadlines.

Required profile

• College/CEGEP education in a related field.
• 3 to less than 5 years of experience in construction detailing or quality assurance/control.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to work under pressure, and excellent oral and written communication.
• Team‑player attitude and organized work style.
