Desktop Support Technician – IT Operations

About the role

Tesla is looking for a highly technical Desktop Support Technician to join the IT Operations team. The role is hybrid, serving Canada West and surrounding areas, and acts as the front‑line face of IT for both technical and non‑technical users.

Key responsibilities

• Provide onsite and remote support for Windows, macOS and Linux computers, as well as mobile devices.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software and basic network issues (DNS, DHCP, VPN).
• Support engineering applications such as Autodesk, Adobe Suite, Office 365, 3DX and CATIA.
• Utilise device‑management tools (SCCM, Active Directory, Azure, JAMF, Intune) to diagnose and resolve problems.
• Create and improve technical documentation and procedures.
• Collaborate with Asset Management, Information Security, Desktop Engineering and Network teams to resolve enterprise‑level incidents.
• Manage tickets, meet SLA targets and lead special projects to completion.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of desktop support experience in an enterprise environment.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
• Customer‑service orientation and attention to detail.
• Flexibility to travel and adjust schedule as needed.
