Design Engineer – Product Development

About the role

We are seeking a Design Engineer to lead the creation of new products and enhance existing ones. The role involves applying engineering principles and advanced design tools to deliver high‑quality, compliant solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and design new products, components and systems that meet performance, safety and regulatory standards.
• Produce detailed technical drawings and specifications using CAD software.
• Collaborate with engineering, production and cross‑functional teams to refine designs and solve technical challenges.
• Conduct feasibility studies and prototype testing to validate concepts.
• Oversee manufacturing processes to ensure accurate and efficient production of designs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design or a related discipline.
• 5‑7 years of proven experience as a Design Engineer or in a comparable role.
• Professional engineering certification is an asset.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD tools such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Experience using simulation and analysis software.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and material selection.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
