Delivery Driver – Mobility Equipment

About the role

Congdon's Aids to Daily Living is seeking a reliable Delivery Driver to transport wheelchair and mobility equipment throughout Edmonton and surrounding communities. You will be the first point of contact for seniors and individuals with disabilities, providing courteous service while ensuring safe and timely deliveries.

Key responsibilities

• Operate a company delivery vehicle safely, complying with Alberta traffic regulations.
• Load, secure, transport, unload, and deliver power wheelchairs, manual wheelchairs, scooters, pediatric mobility equipment, walkers, rollators, lift chairs, and other rehabilitation devices.
• Educate clients and caregivers on basic operation and maintenance of the equipment.
• Complete pickups, exchanges, and returns of equipment.
• Accurately complete delivery documentation and obtain required signatures.
• Communicate delivery status or concerns with dispatch, customer service, and clinical staff.
• Follow company policies, workplace safety procedures, and vehicle maintenance standards.

Required profile

• Valid Alberta Class 5 driver’s licence with a clean abstract.
• Experience driving delivery vehicles preferred; experience with medical or large‑item deliveries is an asset.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to assemble equipment using basic hand tools.
• Excellent communication and customer‑service skills.
• Compassionate, patient, and comfortable interacting with seniors and individuals with mobility challenges.
• Professional, dependable, and able to work independently while contributing to a team.
• Strong organizational and time‑management abilities.
