About the role
Choices Market in Kitsilano is seeking an enthusiastic, food‑loving Deli Lead Hand to oversee the deli department. This full‑time role requires flexibility to work evenings and weekends while delivering excellent customer service.
Key responsibilities
- Direct workflow and supervise the deli team.
- Order, receive, and merchandise products as directed.
- Prepare and cook a variety of hot and cold food items.
- Maintain stocked deli cases and rotate items for freshness.
- Operate the till and handle customer transactions.
- Use kitchen appliances and equipment in compliance with OH&S policies.
- Clean workspaces and retail areas as needed.
Required profile
- Mature, responsible, with proven leadership abilities.
- Positive, service‑oriented, and comfortable interacting with customers.
- Experienced in a retail deli environment.
- Able to lift up to 50 lb and stand for extended periods.
- Creative, intuitive, and willing to share ideas.
- Hardworking team player with a “can‑do” attitude.
