Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Analyst – Contract

About the role

Arctiq is seeking a contract Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Analyst to join a client team in Toronto. The analyst will protect sensitive information across endpoints, email, cloud services, collaboration tools, and data repositories, working closely with security, legal, and business stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Implement, manage, and support DLP solutions to detect and prevent data loss.
• Monitor, investigate, and triage DLP alerts across multiple platforms.
• Analyze incidents, assess risk, and coordinate response with SOC, Incident Response, Legal, and Privacy teams.
• Develop and fine‑tune detection rules to reduce false positives while maintaining protection.
• Maintain DLP policies, classification rules, and ensure alignment with compliance requirements.
• Document investigations, actions taken, and lessons learned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in information security, preferably with a focus on data protection.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work collaboratively across technical and business teams.

Required skills

• Experience with Data Loss Prevention (DLP) technologies.
• Knowledge of security incident response processes.
• Understanding of data classification, privacy, and regulatory compliance.
